Welcome to my Psychotherapy and Counselling Practice.

I offer Psychotherapy, EMDR and Life Span Integration to adults and young people presenting with a range of emotional and behavioural needs.

At some point in life we all need some extra support. A non-judgemental space to feel seen and heard in our experience. Someone to be alongside us on our journey who is separate from our everyday lives, offering professional guidance & reflection. As a therapist, I aim to offer this in a way that feels congruent and helpful for you. When the world around us can often feel confusing and turbulent, the combination of psychotherapy and creativity can offer containment, insight and the potential for positive change.

I provide traditional talking psychotherapy and counselling. However, if appropriate for you, Art Psychotherapy provides a chance to explore and express what words cannot, using creativity and psychodynamic processes. Art therapy is different to other forms of therapy as it is a process between the client, the created art object or image and the therapist. This can all be done in an online capacity, all you need really are some basic art supplies - just a pencil and a sheet of paper can be enough. Please explore my blog page for further information on how I work. There is no prior experience or skill in art needed to benefit. There is also no pressure to use or make art within my therapy space.

I also offer clinical supervision to counsellors, Art Psychotherapists and other professionals in the helping professions. I provide therapy sessions for students who are working towards a career in Art Therapy or counselling/psychotherapy.

I am accredited with the HCPC and I have an MA in Art Psychotherapy as well as an M.Ed in Educational Leadership. I am an EMDR therapist and I am trained to level 4 in Life Span Integration Therapy. The intersection of EMDR, Life Span Integration and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy offers a powerful catalyst for change.

Alongside my work in private practice, I work part time as a Forensic Psychotherapist with the NHS. I also have several years of experience providing individual and group Psychotherapy to private addiction and general psychiatry patients in The Priory Hospital, Bristol. I have worked for an NHS staff trauma support charity and have practiced in the award winning Bristol based young peoples mental health charity ‘Off The Record’.

Over the years, I have helped clients presenting with mild to severe anxiety and depression to more acute conditions. I have helped clients to process addiction, stress, burnout, unexpected change, abuse, bullying, divorce, relationship break down, trauma and loss.
